INFRASTRUCTURE

Ten rural telecenters of information and communication technologies are consider to be implemented, which will be interconnected with servers for video, contents and another one for trials and management. They will be installed in a communication cabinet, located in the central station.

This interconnection will take place through an extra net that will use an appropriate telecommunication system, and also it make rural telecenters be provided with internet service, which allow them to have access to all services provided by the rural telecenter platform.

Two kinds of technologies will be used for the implementation of our system:

•  Satellite access system

. Wireless loop system

TRAINING

a. Network managers.

It is planned to convoke network managers; then they will have to pass an exam in the area where the project will be developed and ten of which will be selected for training.

These ten selected persons will receive 6 live attending courses; and when rural telecenters begin to work and are able to provide internet services,

They will receive three month updating teletraining courses through teletraining systems which will be implemented in the first project activity (rural platform).

The training course structure for network managers is as follows:

•  Course 1: Rural telecenter management.

•  Course 2: Introduction to free software use and Linux operating system.

•  Course 3: Office automation with OpenOffice.

•  Course 4: Website development.

•  Course 5: Network management.

•  Course 6: Rural telecenter technical support.

•  Three month updating teletraining.

Network managers will be trained in order to efficiently manage rural telecenters and to provide an appropriate computer support by using LAN hardware and software. These ten network managers will be responsible of giving training to final users in basic courses related to the use of internet tools............................SIGUIENTE
